So, what's the 'Landscape Critic' site about? 
This site was created to shed some light on the landscape industry for both the general public and existing/emerging professionals by use of educational and entertaining (hopefully) articles and forum discussions.  You will also find project reviews by the Landscape Critic with photos and discussions.

So, who is the 'Landscape Critic'.....
Greg Byrer (the ugly guy in the photo above) is a Licensed Landscape Architect who resides in Ohio and has been in the landscape industry for 26 years working in both Ohio and Florida.  His experience has covered the public and private sectors of the landscape architectural profession, as well as, design/build landscape contracting. 

Is he perfect?.....Hardly........Does he know everything?.....Not by a long shot..........Outspoken?  Yes.....But his passion about the profession and enjoyment of seeing a project go from 'nothing' to a finished work of 'art and design' keeps him educating himself to improve and create everyday.

The FORUM.....
The Forum is open to all, public and professional.  This a place for everyone to discuss issues, jobs, education, share knowledge, network, and more.  Some category topics have been started, but if you would like us to add another category, just let us know! 

An interesting photo.....

Yes.....those are 4 Blue Spruce trees planted around a light post.  They may be cute now, but just wait until they start growing (notice the mature Blue Spruce beside the garage).  An example of wasted money, because they will have to come out in a few years.  Don't miss the Variegated Euonymus in between!
